Hap-hap-happenings.
Been super busy these past few weeks. There, thats my excuse for not doing a post in a bit. Pretty good one, huh? Just because I haven't done a post, doesn't mean there hasn't been anything going on. First off, last night there was a fantastic show at ROTA; Marco Polio, For The Kid in the Back, Adrian Aardvark, and Klessa (plus a nice and special guest warm up set). Great turnout, the first three are Plattsburgh bands, and Klessa is from "the greater upstate New York region, although, not as upstate as this". They're set was very intimate, yet structured and ear catching throughout. I bought their cd "Aloha Demons" , which is wonderfully packaged, and also a rad zine screen printed by Kate the piano/bells/drums/flute/vocalist. (They all played numerous instruments). Check them out here (copy paste > http://www.myspace.com/plancakes ) There was also a really cool live hip-hop performance by The Lo-Fi Felons this past Saturday at ROTA. AND, more to come there, click the link to right called ROTA to see what's up, which is a lot. In our world, we're working on getting more shows here and in Potsdam... another excuse, it's hard to get us all on the same schedule. i know you better than you know yourself is done, completed. If you want a free hard copy e mail me (drudisillw@gmail.com). FREE? yup. Cheers!

Happy Scatterday
Our friend Erik F was nice enough to catch some footage of a show we played with The Choking Beaver Project at their Den a few weeks ago. It was a great night, fun had by all, videos are sweet AND the sound aint' to shabby either. Plus there's points where you can tell Erik was getting tired of holding the camera to his eye in the packed living room standing on a shitty chair so he starts doing candid portraits of people in the audience, its funny. There's Five songs up for now, check them out here (copy paste > http://www.youtube.com/user/SpookyHootyOwlGhosts#p/u ). Also, tonight (Saturday Feb. 12th) there is an all ages show- Coughing Fit (from ALBANY!!!), Deviant Loners, Trinity Park Radio, and Withered Remains at the new venue under Olive Ridley's (30 Marion st.) at 8:00, for $5. Check it out. THEN, tomorrow (sunday the 13th) at the ROTA gallery there is a Breaker (Providence RI hardcore/punk), Tranquilizer Full of (Plattsburgh power violence), and Doom Fuck (orchestrated doom symphonies) show at 7:00. Throw some donations (3-5$) for the gallery and for the breaker from RI. No drugs, no alcohol, all music. Check that out too. Opening event at ROTA last weekend was awesome. We were able to raise a ton of money for the space, the gallery was full of various mediums of great art. Overall, a successful opening, thanks to everyone who helped out. Continue your support of ROTA. Click the ROTA link to the right and find out when meetings are, how to donate or help, and much other information about the space. Think warm weather, I know I am. CHEERS!

ROTA, DIPERSPUNX
Don't forget about the show tomorrow night at ROTA. The walls are filling up with great artwork already. 6:00. BE THERE! ALSO, I strongly suggest that you check this out. Our friends (one of which is a former tour mate) have been playing in BK as DIPERS. I bought the DIPERS demo tape and its been nearly blowing the shitty speakers in my ford taurus ever since. They've got a new tape in the works through EAT THE LIFE RECORDS out of Chikago, and they're working on planning an east coast tour. Check them out here (copy paste > http://diperspunx.blogspot.com/). Deed, the gentleman who toured with us who is in DIPERS also runs a dope radio show out of Brooklyn called CRUST NEVER SLEEPS on Newtown Radio on Wednesday nights from 10 pm to past your bedtime. Check that here (copy paste > http://www.newtownradio.com/ ) Or check him at Crust Never Sleeps Radio on Facebook. Cheers
